Mixed Media Index Card with Sketchy Leaves

Hi there, Susanne here sharing a mixed media index card with crackle paste, acrylic inks, some stamping, collage our Sketchy Leaves 5 stencil used together with Brusho pigment powders. Scroll down for a quick process video.

I started the card by applying some crackle paste through our Cross It stencil. After this was dry I added a bit of stamping using our Da Vinci Body Sketch stamp and images from our Mix It Up 4 stamp set.
To bring in color I used Acrylic inks in Antilope Brown and Deep Violet.
Whilst the background was drying I prepared the focal image – the fern leaf from Sketchy Leaves 5 stencil. I laid the stencil onto some Mix Media paper, sprayed water through it and sprinkled some Brushos on top. I used Purple and Gamboge. I immediately removed the stencil, let it dry and cut it out.

To finish the card I adhered the fern leaf on top of a few collage bits together with a sentiment from Mixed Sentiments 1 and added some black acrylic ink splatters.
