Grungy Textured & Collage Leaves – Mixed Media Index Card

Hi there, Susanne here with a mixed media index cards with one of the leaf stamps from Collage Leaves 2 on a grungy textured background, that is stamped with images from Mix It Up 4 and Mix It Up 6.

I started the card by applying some soft pastels and moved the pigments around with water. I love this technique so much, the texture you are getting is amazing. This does not work with all soft pastel brands, but with many of them. To bring in even more interest I stamped different images randomly with different colors using the Mix It Up 4 and Mix It Up 6 stamp sets.
For more grungyness I added a bit of black liquid charcoal from Derwent.

I adhered a little piece of some stamped rice paper to the bottom left and made some white ink splatters to bring in some highlights. I used a pink Neocolor II for some more mark making.
The focal image is a stamp from our Collage Leaves 2 set. It’s stamped to a watercolor background.
