Layered Mixed Media Index Card with Pencil Marks 4

Hi there, Susanne here! I have another mixed media ICAD to share with you today using some of our lovely flowers from the Pencil Marks 4 stamp set. As the base I used a background that I’ve made with our Rainbows 1 stencil and Brushos. This stencil is no longer available, but you might like our Rainbows 2 stencil!

I covered a part of it loosely with acrylic paint. I love how the colorful background is showing through. For more texture I added some stamping, color splatters, glitter and collage before I placed my main images.

Adding all these layers makes the art work more interesting. I builds up on texture and gives the viewer elements to find and to look at.

The flowers from our Pencil Marks 4 stamp set are colored in loosely with watercolors. I adhered them on top of a piece of black thread to make them look even more interesting.

The sentiment is made with our Mix A Sentiment 2023 stamp set. I have embossed the words in white to black cardstock and then cut the ones out that I wanted to use.
