Creative Layering for Paper Projects

Hi there, Susanne here with a fun tutorial on how to build a mixed media layered tag and two artist trading cards (ATCs) with pre-made backgrounds and our Carved Collection 6 stamp set and our Sketchy Leaves 6 stencil.

I love making my own papers for cardmaking, scrapbooking or other papercrafts! I did the one I used for todays projects recently using Brusho pigment powders together with our Sketchy Leaves 6 stencil. I’m going to link the video at the end of this post.
For todays creative paper projects I die-cut the shapes from that background paper, added a bit of stamping with our Mix It Up 7 and Mix It Up 4 stamp sets and arranged some collage elements, which were made with the Sketchy Leaves 6 stencil, too. I love how the bird from Carved Collection 6 works together with the botanicals so I put one onto each piece.

Enjoy watching my tutorial!

Here are some close-ups:

For the collage fodder I used our Sketchy Leaves 6 masks. I covered the gelli plate with black paint, placed the stencils on top and made the print on a pink gelli print from before. Once dry I cut the images out. I leave a black outline, so they stand out more! Here is a video tutorial on how I made them:

In this video I share how I’ve made the background:

I hope I could inspire you a little bit, thanks for stopping by today!
