Mixed Media Index Card with Leaves Stencil and Brusho Background

Hi there, Susanne here! I have an indexcard with Brushos for you today. I love this technique to make a background so much, that I can’t stop doing it. For today’s card I used our Leaves 1 stencil together with the pigment powders to create the background of the card. With this technique I also ended up with a lovely tag background.

I have linked up a YouTube video at the end of this post where I am sharing a detailed tutorial on how I did these backgrounds. It’s super easy. Just place your stencil onto a piece of watercolor or mixed media paper, spritz it with water and sprinkle the Brushos onto it. Carefully remove the stencil while it’s still weg and place the stencil upside down onto another piece of paper. I my case I used a tag. Et voilá you are ending up with two nice background to work with.

To finish up this icad I added some additional stenciling with the Small Ink Dots stencil and Distress Oxide Ink (Wild Honey). I also stamped the leaf from Mix It Up 3, added some green splatters and a title to the right side with a tab.

Here is the video on how I am using Brushos with stencils:

I hope you like my cards!

xx Susanne
