Mixed Media Index Cards with a 3 in 1 Background using our Organic Stencil

   

Hi there, Susanne here! These three mixed media index cards are all made with a 3 in 1 background using our new Organic stencil combined with Brusho Crystal Powders! How that works? Read on and watch the video clip.

I recommend you are watching this video first to get an idea on how the backgrounds are done.

Let’s start with the first card. I used Canson XL watercolor paper, put the Organic stencil on top, spritzed it with water and applied some Brusho powders. Carefully I removed the stencil and voilá : I had the first background. To finish this background I stamped texture with the Mix A Sentiment set and added some black splatter. For my focal image, the butterfly I used one of out Grungy Butterflies embossed it in white and colored it with Brushos. The Title is also made with our Mix A Sentiment set.

I kept the second card quite simple. All I did was adding some more steciling with Ink Dots and Distress Oxide Ink in Spiced Marmalade, some black splatters and the leaf image from Mix It Up 3. I adhered a stamped tab to the right side.

The third background is finished up with some more stenciling using our Marks 1 stencil with Distress Oxide Ink Picked Raspberry. I created a cluster with texture on the bottom left using stamps from Mix A Sentiment and Mix It Up 1. My focal image is the Bee from Inky Friends. I made the title with words from Mix A Sentiment.
