Mixed Media Index Cards with Collage Leaves and Stencil Background

Hi there, Susanne here with a trio of mixed media index cards using three of our brand new Collage Leaves 2 images. I love these new birds so much! For the background I used watercolors, some stencil texture with Mini Ink Dots and some images from Mix It Up 1 and Mixed Media Marks 1.

I cut the cards (4″ x 5″) from a watercolor background that I created very loose with soft and started with a loose wash of watercolors. I painted the Mini Ink Dots stencil with watercolor and pressed it onto the background with a piece of cloth to bring in some texture. Once this was dry, I stamped images from stamp sets mentioned above with similar colours. I used StazOn Inks. The Leaves are coloured in with watercolors, too.

For the titles of the cards I used our Mix A Sentiment 2023 stamp set. I embossed the words in white onto black cardstock and cut out the ones I wanted to use.
