Mixed Media Tag with Pencil Marks 6

Hello arty friends, I seem to be drawn to colourful flowers at the moment because the weather is mostly grey and miserable! So today I am sharing a mixed media tag tutorial with flowers from Pencil Marks 6.

I recently saw one of my past projects and it reminded me how much I like background stamping using Colour Burst powders, which is how this tag came about.
I sprinkled some pink/orange/yellow powders on my craft mat, spritzed with water and then used the quote stamp to add some background stamping to my large tag.
Once this was dry I added a little bit of black stamping using the crosses.

I stamped flowers from the lovely Pencil Marks 6 set onto a gelli print in the same colours, plus a couple of flowers in a complimentary colour. I also stamped a quote from the Mixed Sentiments 1 set onto some ledger paper.

I cut everything out, arranged the elements on the tag and glued them down once I was happy with the composition.

I doodled a very fine border with a black ink pen and outlined the quote with a soft pencil
