Mixed Media Card with Distress Background and Pencil Marks 6

Hi there, Susanne here with a mixed media index card using the lovely flower stamps from our Pencil Marks 6 set on a Distress Ink & Distress Oxide background. To frame the composition is made with images from the Mixed Media Borders stamp set.

I cut this card (4″ x 5″) from the Canson XL watercolor. The background is made with Distress Inks and Distress Oxides. After this was dry I used acrylic inks to bring in some color. To bring in even more interest I added some stamping to the background with Mix It Up 1 and and Mixed Media Marks 1 sets. I stamped the flowers also onto a Distress background which I had left over from previous projects. The vase is cut out from another left over paper. I stamped the numbers to give it more interest and coloured the edges with black ink, so it pops up from the background.

To frame the whole compostition I used borders from our Mixed Media Borders stamp set with black ink. The black lets the bright colours stand out!
