Rainbow Tag with Inky Flowers and Brushos
Lindsey (@doodlings_cards) here with you today with a lovely rainbow watercolour tag using Brusho powders and our Inky Flowers stamps. I used the Small Ink Dots stencil to create the background. The tag could be used as a fabulous addition to a gift or as a bookmark.
I used Brusho powders in rainbow colours, sprinkling them through the Small Ink Dots stencil on watercolour paper to create the background. I sprayed on plenty of water so the colours smudged a bit, creating great texture. This technique is super easy and can be used with any of our stencil range. The fun part is that the result is never the same!
I added some mica powder for shimmer! You could also use something like Perfect Pearls or even some loose eyeshadow, fixed with a spritz of water! To create some texture for the Inky Flower focal point, I first stamped the Mix A Sentiment words in grey ink on white card.
I used a stamp platform to create a crisp impression of the flower using black Versamark ink, and then cut it out.
Now to assemble the finished project! I stitched around the edge of the tag with white thread, then added tissue paper collage elements, my floral focal point over some loose white thread and diamanté stick-ons.
I hope I’ve provided you with a little visual “food for thought” today ☺️
