Autumnal Greeting Card & Stamping on an old Tea Bag

Hi there, Susanne here! Today I’m sharing an autumnal greeting card using our Autumn Leaves stamp set combined with an old tea bag. Yes, that’s true, I used an old tea bag. When I’m drinking tea I always let the teabag dry afterwards. Once it’ wa’s dry I remove the herbals and then I have an amazing surface to work with mixed media.

I started my card by picking some gelli printed papers that I liked. I stamped one of our Autumn Leaves to a piece of the tea bag and adhered it (using a Tombow glue stick) to one of the prints. I then cut the papers with some deckled edged frame dies. I arranged them on my cardbase. To make the top layer pop I used a white paper inbetween the printed ones.

I finished the card up by making some gold acrylic ink splatters and by adding a sentiment from our Sketchy Flowers 3, which is embossed in white to black cardstock.

You can not only use these stamped tea bags on your card! They make amazing collage paper for any kind of mixed media art work.

I hope you like this cardmaking idea. xx Susanne
