CAS Greeting Card with Stencil Background & Distress Oxides

Hi there, Susanne here with a clean and simple card with a stencil background using Dotted and an image from Carved Collection 6. I am using Distress Oxides, Embossing Powder and Stickles Glitter.

I love making my own papers for cardmaking, scrapbooking or other papercrafts! For today’s card I used our Dotted stencil together with Distress Oxide in Aged Mahagoni. Once I had applied the ink through the stencil I cleaned the stencil, placed it over the pattern again – slightly shifted – and spritzed it with water. The ink will react with the water and you will get a nice glowy effect.
For my focal image I stamped the flower from Carved Collection 6 with Distress Oxide in Crushed Olive and immediately added embossing powder in a similar shade.

To finish the cards I cut a piece from my stencil background with a frame die and adhered it to a card base using foam tape. I highlighted some of the dots with Stickles Glitter glue. I also adhered the cut out embossed flower with foam dots and a sentiment.

I hope I could inspire you a little bit, thanks for stopping by today!

xx Susanne
