Mixed Media Greeting Card using Loose Florals

Hey everyone! It’s Laura on the blog today and I have a mixed media care to share with you using the Loose Florals stamp set on an inky background

I started off by creating an inky background using Distress Oxide Inks. I used Black Soot, Wilted Violet and Shaded Lilac on watercolour cardstock.

Once the background was dry I added some stamping using the text and postage stamps from the Mix It Up 5 stamp set.

I added a tiny bit of texture using the Cross It stencil with texture paste and WOW Embossing Powder in Amethyst Ice. The purple tones really complemented the background.

I stamped some of the flowers and leaves from the Loose Florals stamp set and water coloured them, along with a butterfly stamp from the Butterflies and Moths set. My sentiment is from the Mix a Sentimentstamp set.
