Vintage Greeting Card with Sketchy Flowers

Hello arty friends, how are you?
Today I have a card for you using the gorgeous Sketchy Flowers 3 set. I gave the card a vintage look by using warm colours and a shabby background with some gold ink. Scroll down for a step by step tutorial.

I stamped some of the flowers on a piece of watercolour paper, using black Archival Ink.

Next I used watercolours to colour in the flowers. I love pinks and oranges together, I think it’s my favourite colour combination.

I cut a piece of ledger paper (4.5 x 4.5 inches) and a dark piece of scrapbook paper slightly bigger than the ledger paper. I put some gold ink on my craft mat and used an empty tablet blister pack to make marks on the ledger paper.

Then I arranged the flowers and a quote stamped on a ledger paper off cut on my background, glueing them down once I was happy with the design. The sentiment is from our Mixed Sentiment 1 stamp set.

I matted this onto the darker piece of paper to make the image pop a bit more.

I added some more gold with the edge of a credit card and a pen lid to make the flowers blend in more, then glued to whole thing onto my card blank.

I hope you like it! Until next time,

hugs from Angie x
