Mixed media card with Inky Flowers – from the Archive

Hi everybody! It’s Saturday and time for a project from our archive! Priss created this amazing layered mixed media card using our Ink Flowers together with the Mix A Sentiment stamp set and images from Mix It Up 2 and Mixed Media Marks 1.

I’m glad to show you this romantic greetings card that I have created playing with the gorgeous Inky Flowers set and my oxide inks, which I have used as if they were watercolors. Don’t you think that they give a very delicate and soft look to this bouquet of flowers?

I prepared a 6×4 inches piece of watercolor paper for this card and then painted it with stencils and Distress Oxide inks.
To make the background more interesting, I stamped it with my favorite background stamps of the sets of MIxed Media Marks 1, Mix It Up 2, and Mix A Sentiment using the same ink colors.

To create a smooth transition between the rich background and the delicate flowers, I used an irregular piece of vellum and embossed the words Mix A Sentiment with gold embossing powder.

Hugs, Priss
