Christmas Card with Stencil Background & Textured XMas Trees

Hi there, Susanne here sharing a card making tutorial using our cute Textured XMas Trees 2 stamp set together with a stencil background using our Wheels stencil together with Distress Ink. Scroll down for a process video.

I started this card by making a background with our Wheels stencil together with Distress Ink in Festive Berries. I inked up the stencil spitzed it with a good amount of water and pressed a piece of mix media paper into the ink. That gave me a lovely texture. Immediately I used a waterbrush and filled in the gaps between the “wheels” just by moving the wet ink.

Whilst my background was drying I prepared the focal images. I stamped some of the Textured XMas Trees 2 with white embossing powder. I colored the tress with Distress Ink in Peeled Paint and Festive Berries. I also used a sentiment from the same stamp set, stamped it also with white embossing powder, cut it with a circle die and colored it with Peeled Paint and a blending tool.

To finish the card I adhered the background at an angle to a card base with some foam tape. I fuzzy cut the trees and adhered those and the sentiment with foam dots.
