Christmas Card with Textured XMas Trees

Hello everyone, it’s Evi here and today it’s time for my blog post again. This time I’m bringing you the tutorial for a Christmas card that I designed with a Gelli background, the stars stencil and the brand new Textured XMas Trees 2 stamp set.

I started by stamping the Textured XMas Trees 2 with an embossing pad on a vellum paper and then heat embossed them with red and pink glitter embossing powder. I then stamped the background that I had once made on a Gelli Plate with a stamp from the Mix It Up 5 set and the Stars from the textured Textured XMas Trees. After that I placed the star stencil on top and painted the “tacky when dry” glue over it and after a short drying time I pressed silver foil onto the stars and peeled it off so that the silver stars remained.

I then added small accents with a stamp from the Mix It Up 5 set and sprayed on splashes of colour in pink and black. I chose the christmas wishes stamp and stamped it onto white cardstock, which I coloured with red dye and stapled it onto the card. At the end I glued the Christmas trees on with glue dots and stuck everything on a white card.

I hope you like the inspiration and wish you lots of fun when you get creative with the new stamps.
