Greeting Card with Weed Love and Watercolors

Hi there, Susanne here again. I have a lovely card to share with our Weed Love stamp set and the embossing resist technique. You have never heard of embossing? No problem. Embossing is a nice way to create a raised image with a stamp. All you need is an embossing ink pad (e.g. Versamark), embossing powder and a heat gun. Click continue for a quick video demo.

After the image is stamped with embossing ink you add the powder on top. Dump the powder on a piece of paper and fill it back into the tin. Now you have the stamp image coverd in powder. This must be melted with the heat gun. Embossing powder is plastic, that means it will resist any wet paint. For my card I stamped everything with white powder and added watercolors after it was heat set. Watch my quick tutorial on instagram on how I did this:

This technique is one of my most favourites. It always creates a nice effect and it’s not much effort.

I hope you like my card!

xx Susanne
