Mixed Media Card with Stencil Background and Inky Flowers

Hello from Åshild! I’m sharing a mixed media greeting card today with a background using the Big Triangles stencil together with Brusho pigment powders and a focal point stamped with one of the Inky Flowers.

I don’t know how you feel today, but I know that adding some colors to the day is never wrong. So, with this colorful card I hope I can inspire you and color your day. I’ve used the Big Triangles stencil for the background, along with Sea Green, Turquoise and Yellow of the Brusho powders.

Tape the stencil to a smooth mixed media paper.
Spray the paper with water.
Add Brusho powder.
If the colors are too strong, just spray more water and wipe off some of the ink.
Remove the stencil.
Use a brush to soften the white spaces.
Doodle with water soluble crayons.
Stamp the flower.
Color with crayons.
Use a water brush to soften the colors.
All blues… It needs more color!
Adding a stamped text and some orange collage fodder.

Here are some close ups fo the finished cards:

Thanks so much for stopping by!
