Mixed Media Card using the Butterflies and Moths Stamp Set

Hey! It’s Laura on the blog today and I have a tutorial to share with you creating a layered mixed media card using the Butterflies and Moths Stamp set.

I started my project by adding some colour to a white piece of card. I used the Lattice stencil with Distress Oxides in Mustard Seed, Squeezed Lemonade and Bundled Sage. My aim was to allow the stencil pattern to fade out a little at the edges.
Next I added some stamping using the Mixed Media Marks 1 stamp set and some VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink.

I wanted one of the images from the Butterflies and Moths stamp set to be my focal image. I stamped one of the large butterflies and then water-coloured it. Once it was dry I fussy cut it out and added some Frostbite Astro Paste for a subtle sparkle and shimmer.

I also stamped the ticket from the Mixed Media Marks 1 stamp set onto some rice paper and tore the edges around it. I then played about with the layout until I was happy with how it looked and then I got it all glued down.

Once my card layout was arranged I added a sentiment, combining words from Mix A Sentiment and mounted it to a layer of black card and then attached it to an A2 card blank. I really hope that you like it and that it gives you some inspiration!

Happy crafting!
