Mixed Media Card/ATC Tutorial with Inky Friends

Happy Tuesday! Lindsey (@doodlings_cards) here with a quick and easy mixed media card for you using a butterfly stamp from Inky Friends combined with a colourful mixed media background. I adhered my final card to a greeting card base, but I could also have used it as an artist trading card (ATC).

I turned to my stash of pre-prepared focal elements and pre-stamped tissue papers😊

The elements I chose to work with were a butterfly from the Inky Friends set, heat embossed in white and water-coloured and a leaf image from the Carved Collection 5 set.

I picked a background from my (never seemingly decreasing!) pile and added a bit more interest with stitching around the edge and a couple of heat embossed images with a stamp from the Mixed Media Marks 1 set.

I stitched the butterfly down and then added some iridescent pearls in a complementary colour.

Then it’s just a case of adhering the piece to a white card base. Job done!

Here’s a couple of close-ups …

Thanks so much for joining me today! Hope to see you again soon 😊

Happy crafting! Lindsey x
