Mixed Media Greeting Card with Autumn Leaves and Distress Inks

Hi there, Susanne here! Today I’m sharing an autumnal greeting card with a mixed media look today using Distress Inks for the background and our Autumn Leaves stamps for the focal point.

I played with out Mix It Up stamp sets combined with our new Mini Ink Dots stencil to create that amazing layered mixed media background. My leaves are stamped twice to get a layered effect! You can easily do this with Distress Inks:

1. Ink up the stamps with one or more colours
2. Spritz it with water and stamp it
3. Move the colour around with a brush if necessary
4. Let image dry and cut it out
5. Ink up the same stamp again with a darker color
6. Lay the cut out leaf on your stamp, try to line it up as good as you can
