Sketchy Bird with Loose Florals

Lindsey (@doodlings_cards) here with you today. I’m absolutely delighted to be back with the Rubber Dance DT! 😁 I’m sharing a mixed media greeting card today using a gelli printed background combined with one of the lovely birds from Sketchy Birds 1.

I stamped the bird with black waterproof ink and added a bit of interest with the addition of some small black circles from the Mix it Up 3 set…

…then loosely water coloured the handsome chap in shades of blue and cut him out.

I stamped some of the flowers from the Loose Florals 1 in black Versamark and coloured them loosely with Lindy’s Magicals.

Some Gelli print play with stamps from the Carved Collection 5 to give me some background papers.

I assembled everything and used my sewing machine to create an interesting frame to the card background. I do like a spot of stitching 😁 If you don’t have a sewing machine, check out the Mixed Media Marks 1 or the Mix It Up 1 stamp set. There you will find some stitching borders!
