Winter inspired Birthday Cards with Big Maple

Hi stamping friends! Susanne here. Yesterday hubby and I went for a winter walk to our little fish pond. I took some photos there to then draw in my sketchbook and I was so inspired by the snowy autumn feel that I wanted to make kind of an autumnal winter card. I used one of our Big Maple leaves to use it as the background. I stamped it several times with watercolors and combined it with some cute animals on the cards. I will link up all the stamp sets I’ve used at the end of this post.

I stamped the maple leaf with watercolors a few times, cut them out and used them on my background. I added also a few leaf die cuts that I’ve painted in the same shades. My focal images are the cute Snazzy Squirrel, one of the garden cats and the deer from Frosty Friends. I left them black and white, to keep the snowy winter feel. The sentiment is from Bonny Bunny.

Here is a reel for you, so you can see how I stamped the leaves:

I hope you like the cards! See you next time! xx Susanne
