Mixed Media Mini Cards using Gelli Prints

Lindsey (doodlings_cards) with a tutorial for using Gelli prints to make mixed media mini cards with focal images from the Pencil Marks 6 stamp set. Unfortunately this set is no longer available, but a similar flower is on our Doodle Flowers 2 stamp set or on Pencil Marks 4 (which is 10% this month!)

In one of my blog posts last month, I took you through the process of Gelli printing with the Big Triangles and Dotted 1 stencils; you can see the post HERE.

I used a couple of the prints – a busy bold one paired with a subtle one – and cut them down to approximate ATC size.

Then I added heat embossing and stamping to the backgrounds with images from the Carved Collection 3 and Pencil Marks 6 stamp sets.

I painted a thin layer of gesso onto an old book page, then stamped the flowers in Versafine ink.

Focal image and backgrounds (nearly) complete, I chose some inspirational words, complementary orange thread and iridescent sequins.

Then it’s a case of sticking everything down and adding my trademark stitching 😊
