Abstract Art Journal Technique with Waterolors

Hi there, Susanne here sharing an abstract art journaling process using a fun watercolor technique combined with our Organic 4 stencil and stamps from A to Z, Mix A Sentiment and Mix It Up 4.

The technique I am using is something we all probably did in kindergarten. I am adding paint in different places of my double spread and then press the pages together! That gives some amazing patterns and textures. I am working with granulating watercolors on gessoed pages. Once I was happy with my background I let it dry and added some stenciling with our Organic 4 stencil and white acrylic paint. For more interest and texture I added a bit of stamping with images from A to Z, Mix A Sentiment and Mix It Up 4.
I finished the page by making some scibbly marks with my Stabilo All pencil in black.
