Easy CAS Birthday Card with Pencil Marks 8 and a fun Background Technique

Hi there, Susanne here sharing a birthday card (it’s my daughters anniversary today) with our Pencil Marks 8 stamp set. For the background I used a fun and easy technique with Distress Oxide Inks.

For the background I stamped the butterflies with Distress Oxide Ink and wiped the impression, immediately after stamping, with kitchen paper. As the Ink doesn’t dry that quick you get a lovely softening effect. I am demoing this in this video:

It’s a fun technique that you can use with all kinds of stamps and different colours! I used it on the card above combined with the butterflies adhered with foam dots and a sentiment from Kartengrüße.
