Art Journal Page with Double Stamping

Hey, it’s Isa here and today I’m excited to show you how to bring your art journal page to the next level by double stamping on tracing paper! On today’s spread I am woking with stamps from Pencil Marks 3 and Sketchy Leaves.
Note: You might want to first watch the tutorial I made earlier this month about how to stamp on tracing paper (watch it here).
This time, I’m using colored permanent ink to stamp one same pattern on each of the tracing paper sheets. Then I stamped an image (Pencil Marks 3, Sketchy Leaves) with black Stazon ink on three different sheets of tracing paper, and fussy cut them.
The idea is that these 3 images will be my focal point.

Using scraps of paper from my stash, I glued them down on my handmade journal page to create the background in warm hues.
I then arranged my 3 stamped images on tracing paper on this background, together with small pieces of papers coming from previous gel printing or doodling sessions.

I also stamped and fussy cut another image in the tracing paper, that I’m using to enhance the focal point, together with a square-shaped negative space I cut from the tutorial I made earlier this month.
As I felt the whole was lacking contrast, I came in with acrylic transparent paint to add more.
To finish up, I splattered the page with a warm color.

And there you are! We’ve just added a translucent focal point to our page, using a double stamping technique on tracing paper!
I hope this tutorial has inspired you to try new techniques to create unique and beautiful pages!
Be Bold and Shine!
Isa
