Abstract Collage Trio with Inky Friends

Hi there, Susanne here with a trio of abstract collages using some of my handmade papers combined with stamps from Inky Friends. There are just a hand full of this clear stamps set left! So be quick if you want to get one. I worked on a big watercolor paper pad and did the collage all at once. I then cut the paper out and apart.
On this spread I started by laying down some acrylic paints I worked over the dried first layer with some light shades in green and grey and immediately scraped away some of the wet paint with a hand made scraper tool (made from card board). Once this was dry I adhered a stack of collage papers and adhered the focal points. I stamped this butterfly with acrylic paint.

I started this piece with an old book page that was colored with an ombre effect in pink and ivory. I glued a dark red gelli printed rice paper to the left half and balance that out with my centered focal image stamped onto an orange colored old book page. The bumble bee is also stamped with acrylic paint. I brought everything together by adding the tree ivory pieces and added some black marks with a Neocolor.

I started this collage with a gelli printed rice paper in apricot shades. I covered the bottom half with a layer of stamped tissue. Once that was dry I adhered my focal image to the center. This time I had stamped the butterfly also with acrylic paint onto a painted old book paper. I used the same scraper tool to create the texture that I used on the first one. I framed the center piece with a yellow Neocolor.

I hope I could inspire you a little bit, thanks for stopping by today!
xx Susanne
