Abstract Art Journal Page with Embossing, Paper Scraps & Textured Flowers

Hey, lovely souls! Isa here, ready to sprinkle some joy into your creative world! Today, I’m thrilled to share a collage adventure in my homemade art journal using paper scraps from my stash of gel-printed papers.

For this page I used a stamp from the lovely Textured Flowers set.

I start by creating a colorful collage background with paper scraps that fill my baskets each time I play with the gel plate! I also love using old book pages as they add interest to the project.

With my Versamark stamp pad, I stamp a beautiful flower from the Textured Flowers 2022 stamp set onto a dark and contrasting gel-printed paper – and guess what? This one has a hint of iridescent gold!

Then embossing it with white embossing powder is like adding a sprinkle of fairy dust to the mix.

After a dance with heat and a bit of fussy cutting, it’s time to add a touch of drama. Black paint splatters take center stage, creating a dynamic backdrop for our focal point.

And oh, what’s that? A small piece of muslin joins the party, adding a touch of intrigue – because why not?

Last but certainly not least, a sentiment from the Think Again stamp set swoops in like the final note of a cheerful melody!

And just for you, a little Instagram reel to make this creative journey even more delightful!

Hope this inspires you to dive into your stash of leftovers and create more art from the heart!

Be Bold and Shine

Isa
