Art Journal Page Tutorial with Sketchy Flowers 3

Hi, Szilvi here with a mixed media art journal tutorial in my altered book using our fabulous Sketchy Flowers 3 stamp set and watercolors. I made a simple little autumnal page that represents the cycle for me.

I applied the watercolour in a roughly circular shape, using different shades of autumnal shades. You can use vibrant, bright colours for an even more spectacular result! I worked in an old book, if you do too, you might want to make sure it doesn’t get wet from the watercolour. If in doubt, use gesso as a primer.
I then used acrylic ink to create a branchy scalloped circle (it doesn’t have to be regular), then placed the main element on top and stamped a few more tiny leaves here and there. I coloured these at the end.
