Art Journal Page Tutorial with Grungy Butterflies

Hello everyone! Grace here, this is my first entry on the Blog and I’m very excited, I hope you like it.
Today I bring you a slightly different art journal page, where we mix acrylic paints with acrylic markers to create our composition. I’m a fan of acrylic paints so I want to show you fun ideas to use in your art journals.

First we take a mixed media paper or a cardboard and we put 4 different colors of acrylic paint on it (see photo) and we are going to mix them together until we cover the whole paper… the idea is that there is a very crazy background.

As we have our colorful background we are going to stamp our stamp to decorate, this time I will use these butterfly stamps. After stamping as many stamps as you like, we cut out each butterfly.

Finally we made a very clean but fun background. We will use this stamp of branches to decorate our page and then we will decorate with details in acrylic markers using more stamps that we will use acrylic paint to stamp.

We added the butterflies with some double-sided tape and added a feeling, in this case this page is a celebration of freedom. I hope you liked the project and that you are encouraged to make your own design and share it in the Facebook group Rubber Dance Stamping Lounge
