Pocket Journal Page Tutorial with Grungy Butterflies and Stencil Background

Szilvi here with a mixed media art journal page tutorial using some of the lovely Grungy Butterflies together with a stencil background. Today is my last post here on the Rubber Dance blog. Unfortunately, I’ve been very busy lately. Some things get missed from time to time, but I’m not sad about it, I’m thankful for the last year, it’s been great to be part of the design team here.

I started here a year ago with the Grungy Butterflies set, so I decided to say goodbye with this set. 🙂 In the meantime, stencils have also been added to the range, which I’m a fan of, so I’ve used them too!

The basis of my page today started with a patchy, inky page. I painted the background with different coloured watercolours, then embellished it a little with some Mixed Media Marks 1 and Pencil Marks 1 stamps. I then used the Scribbles and Ink Dots stencils, using a back-erase technique. Finally I glued on the beautiful butterflies.
