Quick and Easy Abstract Collage in my Art Journal
Hi there, Susanne here with a quick and easy abstract collage that is done in one of my small spiral bound sketchbooks using handpainted/ handstamped papers. I used stamps from Carved Collection 1 and a lot of mark making. I love these little art journals as the pages are not very big. This is the perfect size to make some art that takes not too much time.
If you have already papers ready to glue down it’s even better. I used paper scraps from my stash on this page, mainly gel prints in greenish and dark tones. I tor two different bits, added some stamping with the leaves from Carved Collection 1 in black and added some bright yellow splatters. . For some extra interest I stamped the text from Mix It Up 4. I did some mark making with a turquoise and white Neocolor II Crayon.

The textured on the gel prints in made with our Mini Ink Dots stencil. For some more interest I use a red Neocolor II, added a few tiny marks and wet those, just to get a touch of red on the page.
