A Trio of Textured Christmas Trees – DIY Home Decor

Hello, Samantha here today and I have a tutorial showing how I made these Christmas decorations using two stamp sets; Textured Xmas Trees and Textured Feathers. All you need is some white card, a little wire, glitter, watercolours and for a platform I used branch slices.

I chose three of the Textured Xmas Tree stamps that complimented each other really well as I want to display them as a group, I like how the side trees lean in to the middle tree. As you can see my branch slices are nice and small and soft too.

I stamped the Christmas trees on to strong white card and coloured using watercolour paints but you could use whatever you want to to colour. I stamped extra details for baubles using a stamp from the Textured Feathers set and added glossy accents to make them shiny.

I added wire to the back side of the trees leaving a little wire longer at the bottom. To make the branch slices pretty I used an embossing powder. Then using an awl I made a hold in the middle of each branch slice and adhered the wire in place.

Close ups of glitter never seem to work! To finish my trees I added high lights with a white posca pen and some random spots of glitter. The tops of trees were also decorated with the embossing powder I used on the slices.

They also look great on their own.

Thanks for stopping by, Sam x
