ATCs using Collage Leaves and Shimmer Powders

Hi! It’s Laura on the Rubber Dance Blog today and I’ve got a nice and easy inspiration post for you creating two mixed media artist trading cards using stamps from the Collage Leaves set as focal images. The background is made with the Rainbows 2 stencil combined with stamping inks.

To create my ATCs I first cut two card’s to size – 3.5 x 2.5 inches. I created an ink blended background using Sea Glass and Turquoise Sea dye ink pads from Gina K Designs,. I added some water splatters and then dabbed off the excess leaving a subtle water reactive background.

I used the Rainbows 2 stencil and ink blended some Turquoise Sea dye ink to get a tone on tone effect which adds some subtle interest in the background.

Next I added some stamping. I used the ticket stamp from the Mixed Media Marks 1 stamp set and I added a border using the Mixed Media Borders stamp set. I added some black splatters too. My focal images are from the Collage Leaves stamp set. I stamped them on watercolour card and used shimmer powders. I then fussy cut them out and attached them to my ATC along with a small sentiment which was white heat embossed on black cardstock.

I hope this gives you some inspiration to play with your craft supplies! Don’t forget to check out the Rubber Dance Stamping Lounge Facebook group too for more inspiration!

Happy crafting!
