Mixed media Tag with our Sketchy Birds
Hi friends! Priss with you today and I am happy to use for the first time our new blog.
This time I share with you my new tag inspiration, made with leftovers from other projects. Are you ready to know more?
I don’t know if it happens to you like me, but when doing my projects there are things that I don’t always use or that are left halfway and in the end, I accumulate unused papers, but that I don’t want to throw away. Well, that is the case with this scrap of book sheet stamped with Mandalas set.
You just need to stick it on kraft cardboard, distress the edges, and add some splatters to have a beautiful tag background.
For the elements, I just take my Rubber Dance leftovers box and select some of them to create a composition. I choose some of the Sketchy Leaves set stamped on a Gelli plate background with gold embossing powder, a ticket from the Mixed Media Marks set, and a star from the Mix It Up 2 set.
Now it’s time for the focal point. This gorgeous blue-green-yellow bird. I painted it, first with pigments as if they were watercolors, and then I drew some lines with colored pencils and a white gel pen for the highlights.
Now I leave you with some photos of my finished tag.
This is a little reminder that our beautiful December Mood Board continues in the Rubber Dance Stamping Lounge on Facebook, and now also on Instagram with the hashtag #rubberdancemoodboard. We hope to see you there.
Hugs, Priss
