Mixed Media with Inky Friends

Hi there! Today we have a lovely projects from our archive to share created by Vero (@Vero.kt) . She had a play with our Pencil Marks 1, Inky Friends and Mixed Media Marks stamp sets combined with pigment powders. She made a gorgeous mixed media indes card.

She cut a piece of smooth hot press watercolor paper to the size of 5.5 x 3.5 inches. She used pigments powders (Lindy’s Magicals) to create the background. If you don’t have these kinds of powders you can create something quite similar with watercolors or Distress Inks.

Veronica added more interest to the background by stamping images from different mixed media stamp sets. She used Distress Oxides and some black permanent ink.

To bring in some highlights she embossed an image from Pencil Marks 1 with white powder to the background. She finished the card up by adding the moth stamp from Inky Friends, die cut pieces and some stitching to the edges of the card. If you don’t have a sewing machine you can alternaively use the stitching borders from Mixed Media Marks 1 or our Mixed Media Borders.

Thanks for stopping by today!
