Stamping on a Gel Plate – Mixed Media Tutorial

Hello craftlovers, Grace here again to share moments of fun.

Today we are going to make a book mark using the gel press combinded with images from Pencil Marks 3 and the lovely Textured Bird stamps to make fun patterns for our backgrounds.

We are going to need 2 pieces of paper that have a difference of 1 centimeter in size first we choose 4 shades of acrylic paints for the gelli and mix.

Then we are going to make a pattern with bottom stamps to stamp on the gelli. When covering the complete surface we proceed to transfer to paper.

The paper and the stamping is transferred to the Gelli and the paper 2 is decorated with the paint that remains on the stamps, so we are creating our 2 funds.

For our focal point we are going to use a piece of paper that I have to unload the excess paints when I am creating, these always help me to create new works. So we recycled one of these papers and stamped our focal point stamp.

Add the additional details you want, in my case this time I liked the background so much that I didn’t want to put many details on it.

And so we have a beautiful, very original and fun separator to give to someone special.

The Textured Birds are no longer available in the clear version, but they are still available as a rubber plate. If you prefer clear stamps you might love our follow up set, the Textured Birds 2.

I hope you like the idea and you are encouraged to try it, if so, remember to show us your beautiful work at @Rubberdance
