ATC Tutorial with Sketchy Leaves

Hi there,
Ellie here with you today sharing a fun technique for a large background (masterboard) to be cut up to make several cards and ATC’s.
I will only share the finished ATC’s today.

Adhere several smaller torn pieces of colored paper and book paper to a large piece of sturdy paper. Choose the colored paper’s colors from a moodboard or other source so they will match the colors you want your background to be when finished.
 Leave to dry.
Cover the whole surface with watered-down white gesso using a palette knife. Immediately dab gesso away from areas you want to preserve more than other parts with a damp cloth.
Leave to dry.

Stamp with several background stamps in several colors onto the  background as shown.
Leave to dry.
Add extra color (I added light green only) to the background.

Now cut it up to the size of ATC’s and cards.

For today’s post I finished the four ATC’s only, I will share the four cards on a later date.
Enjoy!

Above the four ATC’s I’ve made adhering fussycut images and words to it.

This is such an easy way to create multiple backgrounds in one go.
Hope you like it and got inspired.
