Mixed Media Greeting Card with Sketchy Stamps

Hello, Samantha here today sharing with you a card I recently made using the wonderful Sketchy Birds and Sketchy Leaves stamp sets, along with a sneaky sentiment using the Mix a Sentiment 3 stamp.

I really wanted this card to have lots of depth and texture, so I used a mosaic and a wood grain embossing folder. After embossing the mosaic I cut it to size, 4 inches by 4 inches, and then painted it a metallic green and another non metallic green on top and added some splats and a bit of white gesso dry brushed on to knock it back as it was a little too bright. The leaves and bird were stamped on to white card and coloured using watercolour paints that contrasted and complimented the background colours. The text was white embossed on black card. A quick card which depending on the sentiment chosen could be for just about any occasion. To finish I added some white splats to the bird and leaves.
