Bookmark with Ahoy Stamp Set

Hello arty friends, how are you? I have a bookmark for those of you who still read actual books – I know I do and I have a lot of friends who do so this will go to a good home.

I cut a piece of card into a bookmark shape and covered it with some wood effect scrapbook paper. I wanted to create a kind of seaside/head land effect with this.

Next I stamped the lighthouse and one of the boats from the “Ahoy” set onto watercolour paper and then painted them. Afterwards I realised that I didn’t take any photos during this process – sorry!

I added some shading and grunged them up a little bit using my Stabilo All pencil.

Finally I stamped the birds and the quote, glued the elements onto the bookmark, used black distress ink around the rounded edges and added some bakers twine.

I’m really pleased with the way this turned out and I hope you like it too.
