Card with Gelli Print Background & Doodle Flowers

Hi everyone! It’s Hege here with a mixed media collage card using gelli prints and scraps and a flower from the lovely Doodle Flowers 2 stamp set.

I often start the creating process with the focal point (a stamped image I want to use), and create a card around that. Today I started in the other end, with a gelliprint I made when testing some stencils with acrylic paint. On this print I used two of my favourite stencils; Organic 4 and Small Triangles.

I cut the gelli print in 7 x 10 cm that fits perfectly for an A7-card (7,5 x 10,5cm). Then I looked in my box of scraps and leftovers for things that I could use with the gelliprint on my card. I selected some small pieces of paper scraps, a piece of “DottieAnn” and a bit of washi tape. This pieces, together with the gelli print and a coloured stamped image from the set Doodle Flowers 2, was mounted on a black card base. Ta-da! – a cute little card!

I love the texture made by gelliprinting with stencils!

This is the elements I used on my card

Making “landscapes” using scraps are a fun way to create!

Wishing you a creative day! Hege x
