Card with stencil background and stamps

Hi, it`s Hege here on the blog today! Today I am sharing a quick greeting card tutorial with the Rainbows 2 stencil, Distress Inks, stamps from Pencil Marks 7 and Mix It Up 4 and some Washi Tape.
I often use collage, paints and lots of layers and colours in my projects, but sometimes I like to explore simplicity using limited colours and just a few elements and dive into a more clean&simple/whitespace-style.
Today I decided to use only pink and yellow, together with black and white for contrast. I used the lovely Rainbows 2 stencil, and stamps from Mix It Up 4 and the stamp set of the month in February: Pencil Marks 7. It’s 10% off during the whole month!

First I made the background using stencil, distress ink and blending tool to make pattern on a 10x15cm piece of white cardstock.

Then I stamped a border and a flower on white cardstock, and cut them out.

I coloured a leftover piece of cardstock with distress ink, and then sticked black&white washitape on top to make a pink&black embellishement.

I cut the washitape-strip, and glued the stamped border on top.

Then I glued the strip and flower on the background.

I mounted the background on a piece of black cardstock for contrast, added a sentiment, and then mounted it on the card base.
Wishing you a creative day! x Hege
