Embossed Card with Carved Collection 6

Hey! It’s Laura on the blog today and I have a mixed media greeting card to share with you using embossing powder to add texture and interest combined with the gorgeous Carved Collection 6 stamp set.

For my card I started off by adding some subtle stamping in the background using the Mix It Up 5 and Mix It Up 6 stamp sets and added some black splatters using acrylic paint.

I stamped my focal image from the Carved Collection 6 stamp set in embossing ink and heat embossed it with a new powder from WOW! Embossing power. This added some texture and shine and was a pop of colour on my neutral background.

I did fussy cut the image out and mounted it on some foam tape but I added some black cotton thread behind it for texture and interest too.
