A last Card of Summer – AHOY!

Hi there, Susanne here sharing a very last summer themed greeting card with fish stamps from our AHOY set and a dry embossed stencil background, inked with Distress Oxides, and our Organic 3 stencil.

For the background I used some simple white cardstock and did some dry embossing with our Organic 3 stencil and my Sizzix Big Shot. Here is the sandwich you have to put together:

Use your base plate on Tab 1 and then build up the following:

  1. Clear cutting plate
  2. Stencil
  3. Paper
  4. Silicone Rubber
  5. Impression Pad

That’s it! Roll it through your machine et voilá! After the embossing I placed the stencil back onto the paper and inked the background with Distress Oxide inks together with a blending tool.

I stamped two of the fishes from AHOY to Mix Media paper and colored them in with Derwent Inktense pencils. I picked warm colors in orange shades to add contrast against the blue background.
I adhered everything to my card base using foam tape. I also added some cut out circles with holographic paper and a die cut sentiment.

xx Susanne
