Mixed Media Greeting card with Doodle Flowers 2

Hey there, it’s Evi on the blog again, and today I have a greeting card with a mixed media background and flowers from the Doodle Flowers 2 set in the foreground.

I started with the background design by stamping a stamp from the set Mix It Up 4 with embossing ink and embossing it with clear embossing powder. I then applied the Cross It stencil and brushed over it with blue and green distress oxides. Then I used the Small Triangles stencil and painted over it irregularly with a texture paste. I added some black accents with different stamps and splashed some water so that the distress oxides could change a little and then added white splashes with acrylic paint.

I stamped the flowers from the Doodle Flowers 2 on paper from a gelli plate print and heat embossed them in black and cut them out. I added a frame, black and white striped paper on the side and the lettering and the card was finished.
