Greeting Card using Collage Leaves 2

Hey! It’s Laura on the blog today and I have a tutorial to share with you creating a mixed media greeting card using gel prints to create a collage background and stamps from the Collage Leaves 2 stamp set for the focal image and sentiment.

First, I had fun playing with my gel press. I used the Butterflies and Moths stamp set along with the Small Triangles stencil. You can find the reel showing how I created one of my prints here:

Next, I cut a piece of white card down to 4.5 inches x 6.5 inches. I do trim it down later to 3.75 x 5 inches but first I layer piece of gel prints to create a collage background.

I then added some stamping using the Mix it Up 5 stamp set and some VersaFine Onyx Black Ink. I stamped a focal element and sentiment from the Collage Leaves 2 stamp set.

I decided to trim my panel down a little smaller to fit a US A2 sized card and I added a thin black mat layer.

I hope this gives you some inspiration both for how you can use your stamps on your gelli plate but also how you can then turn those prints into some unique mixed media greeting cards.

Happy crafting!
