Clean and Simple Card with Gelli Plate Background & Inky Flowers

I have a CAS – clean and simple – style card for you today. I had a lovely play last week making lots of gelli prints 😁
For this card I’ve chosen a print made with the Ink Dots stencil and some iridescent acrylic paint, which I’ve used as a background for a flower from the Inky Flowers stamp set.

Here’s some of the gelli prints I took. On this occasion, I stuck to cool colours – blue, yellow and green – for a harmonious feel.

I like to use simple apertures to find an area of a gelli print that is visually appealing to me. This time, I opted for a circle.

I have a stash of pre-coloured focal images. For this card, I chose a large flower from the Inky Flowers stamp set that I’d water coloured. I added some white highlights using a white Gelly Roll pen.

Here’s everything ready to be adhered to the card base: a sentiment from the same Inky Flowers stamp set, a simple piece of white card cut 1cm smaller than the card base, with a circular aperture, and some iridescent sequins in complementary colours.

Here’s a couple of close-ups …

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you find some time to get inky soon! 😊
