Greetings Cards with Brushos & Textured Birds 2

Lindsey (doodlings_cards) here with a pair of mixed media greetings cards. The backgrounds are made with Brushos pigment powders and the stencil stamping technique and the focal images are from the recently-released Textured Birds 2 stamp set.
Here’s the step by step tutorial:
Brushos are pigment powders – you only need a tiny amount and they do stain, so beware!
Lay the stencil on a piece of card stock and spray with water, then sprinkle the Brushos over for your usual stencilled background.
You can also “stamp” with the stencil now that it’s covered in ink.
Carefully lift off the stencil, and press the inked side on a piece of cardstock to get the reverse image, so to speak.

I used stencils Marks 3 and Rainbows 2

For my focal images, I chose 2 birds from the Textured Birds 2 stamp set, together with some leaves stamped on Gelli print offcuts.
The birds were loosely watercoloured, with highlights added using Posca pens and a Wink of Stella.

Here’s a couple of close-ups …

Thanks so much for joining me today! Look forward to seeing you again soon 😊
Happy crafting! Lindsey x
